InZOI's Reddit community has been buzzing over game files that reference a second DLC world codenamed "Lavender City," and a cryptic emoji response from director Kjun has only added fuel to the speculation.
Files found in the modkit since late 2025
The discovery itself is not new. Reddit user polkacat12321 first shared the findings roughly seven months ago after digging through InZOI's modkit in versions 0.3.x and 0.4.0 (dated around October 29, 2025). The files reference an entry labeled "E02 LavenderCity" alongside two additional "PurpleCity" placeholder slots whose purpose remains unclear.
At the time, the post generated moderate discussion but no official comment. Community members noted that Kjun had separately confirmed the team was working on traditional European and Korean architecture assets, which some took as circumstantial support for a European-themed world.
Kjun's emoji reaction reignites discussion
What pushed the topic back into the spotlight was a recent interaction on InZOI's official Discord. After community members raised the Lavender City files again, Kjun responded with two emojis: a lavender flower and a purple heart. He offered no text confirmation or denial.
As Reddit user Educational_Fudge_94 noted in a follow-up thread: "We still don't know whether these code lines are actually relevant or just from earlier work. It's possible we got the Provence-style architecture and furniture in the Apr update as leftover assets."
The caution is warranted. An emoji is not a roadmap announcement, and Kjun has a history of playful community interactions that stop short of hard confirmation.
The Provence theory and June's furniture drop
The "Lavender City" codename has led players to speculate that the world draws from France's Provence region, known for its lavender fields. That theory gained extra traction after InZOI's June 2026 update introduced 17 pieces of European-inspired antique furniture. Some fans see those assets as potential building blocks for a future European world; others think they were simply catalog expansions with no deeper connection.
There is no official statement linking the furniture additions to any unannounced DLC.
Where Canvastown fits in
Separately, Kjun and the InZOI team have already confirmed Canvastown, a smaller countryside-focused world arriving later in 2026. Canvastown is designed around lot-heavy building with improved performance and will let players share entire city saves with one another. Since Canvastown was announced after the PurpleCity placeholders were first spotted, some community members believe one of those slots was always reserved for this confirmed world, leaving the other potentially open for something else.
What this means right now
Nothing here is confirmed beyond Canvastown. The Lavender City files are real entries in the modkit, but codenames and placeholder data regularly exist in game files without ever shipping. Kjun's emoji response is notable because he chose to engage at all, but treating it as a soft announcement would be reading too much into two Unicode characters.
If a second DLC world is in development, an official reveal will likely follow InZOI's established pattern of roadmap updates. Until then, this remains educated community speculation grounded in real data.
