The Sims 4's Build Your Bundle system is gone. In its place, EA and Maxis have launched Stack & Save, a new discount feature on the EA App that removes the old restriction of picking one Expansion Pack, one Game Pack, and one Stuff Pack per bundle.
Stack & Save works differently: discounts scale based on how many eligible packs you add to your cart, regardless of type. Want three Expansion Packs together? That works now. A pile of Stuff Packs? Also fine. The discount applies automatically at checkout.
What's eligible (and what isn't)
Most Expansion Packs, all Game Packs, and all Stuff Packs qualify for Stack & Save discounts. However, three newer expansions are excluded from the system entirely: Enchanted by Nature, Adventure Awaits, and Royalty & Legacy.
Kits, Creator Kits, Moola, Maker Packs, and existing bundles are also ineligible. Stack & Save discounts cannot be combined with sale pricing or EA Play membership discounts, and you cannot gift packs purchased through the system.
EA App only
This is a big caveat. Stack & Save is exclusive to PC and Mac players using the EA App. If you play through Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation, or Xbox, this discount system does not apply to you at all. There's no indication from EA that it will expand to other platforms.
The launch deal
The first Stack & Save offer spotted in the EA App features an extra 50% off High School Years and For Rent when purchased together. As Sims Community notes, both of these packs have been reported as among the lowest-selling expansion packs in the series, which suggests EA may use the curated recommendations to push underperforming DLC.
How to use it
Open the EA App, go to your Library, select The Sims 4, and look for the Stack & Save tab. Add eligible packs to your cart and the discount tiers will show automatically before you check out. The cart view also shows how many more packs you'd need to add to reach the next discount level.
The timing lines up with a busy period for Sims 4 updates. The team just wrapped a Quality of Life Q&A outlining changes coming in the June 2026 patch, so it seems EA is pairing backend storefront improvements with gameplay updates.
For players who relied on Build Your Bundle to fill gaps in their collection, Stack & Save should offer more flexibility in practice. The platform restriction remains frustrating for console players and those on Steam, but EA App users with a long wishlist of packs may find the scaling discounts more useful than the old one-of-each formula.
