The new update for The Sims 4 is here, and the Sims team put together a quick list of the things worth knowing before you load your save. This patch expanded two base-game careers, added new rewards, improved Gallery filtering, brought back Move Objects for builders, and included the free Holiday Celebration Pack unlock flow.

The Sims team highlighted these ten things:

1. Two new branches in the Business career

Your Sims can now climb the Business career toward becoming either an Angel Investor or a Business Tycoon.

2. Two new branches in the Athletic career

Athletic Sims can now sweat their way toward the Hall of Fame or be crowned Mr. or Ms. Solar System.

3. New career outfits

Each career has career-specific outfits that update as Sims rise through the ranks. The update even includes a gold tracksuit.

4. New objects and rewards

Sims unlock special objects and career-specific interactions as they are promoted. The Business route can lead to fake investment tips, while Athletic Sims can offer to train other Sims.

5. Career reward rooms in Build Mode

As Sims move up in their careers, they unlock career reward rooms in Build Mode. These rooms make it easier to renovate in an athletic or business style without building every reward setup from scratch.

6. New Gallery updates

The update added advanced and modified Gallery filters. The update notes linked to EA's full patch list.

7. The Business Gnome

Other little gnomes may be relaxing in the garden or by the pool, but the Business Gnome does not have time for that. He has places to be, calls to make, and meetings to attend.

8. The Move Objects cheat

The update also brought back the Move Objects cheat. With it, builders can create unique object combinations by overlapping two or more objects. One example was combining a bed and curtains to make a canopy bed, but the cheat works with objects across the game. It can make elegant builds, or very messy rooms.

How to enable Move Objects

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + C to open the cheat console.
  2. Type testingcheats true.
  3. Type bb.moveobjects.
  4. Press Ctrl + Shift + C again to close the console.
  5. To turn the cheat off again, repeat the same sequence.

When the cheat is off, you cannot move objects that were placed with it without losing the Move Objects placement. EA's current Sims 4 cheats FAQ lists bb.moveobjects on as the standard command, so use that form if your current game does not confirm bb.moveobjects by itself.

9. Holiday sweaters

It is not a proper holiday season without holiday sweaters. Sweater number four won the vote, but the team managed to sneak in a few more so your Sims can celebrate in style.

10. Holiday decor

The Holiday Celebration Pack includes holiday decorations and festive clothing for Sims. The Holiday Celebration Pack unlock steps are below.
