What the pack adds
Star Wars: Journey to Batuu is the ninth game pack for The Sims 4, released on September 8, 2020 for PC, Mac, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It adds Batuu, a destination world inspired by Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland and Disney World. Batuu is not a residential neighborhood. It is a story-driven destination where Sims travel to take on missions, meet iconic Star Wars characters, and choose sides in a factional conflict.
The pack includes 115 Create a Sim items covering Star Wars themed clothing, hairstyles, and accessories, along with 139 build and buy objects for decorating lots with Star Wars inspired furniture and decor.
Factions and missions
Gameplay on Batuu centers on three competing factions. The Resistance is led by Rey and Vi Moradi. The First Order is led by Kylo Ren. The Scoundrels are led by Hondo Ohnaka. Sims earn reputation by completing missions for their chosen group, and the choices they make determine which faction gains power across Batuu. As reputation grows, Sims gain access to exclusive rewards, new outfits, and story missions that push the conflict forward.
Characters like Rey, Kylo Ren, and Hondo Ohnaka appear throughout the world and can be interacted with directly as Sims progress through each faction's storyline.
Lightsabers, droids, and activities
Sims collect kyber crystals and lightsaber hilts to construct a personalized lightsaber, then put it to use in training duels with other Sims. Droids are available for purchase at the Droid Depot and act as companions that assist during adventures and provide social interaction back home. The cantina on Batuu offers sabacc, a Star Wars card game Sims can play for entertainment and credits.
