What the pack includes
Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack was the second community-voted stuff pack for The Sims 4, released on July 28, 2020. Players participated in multiple voting rounds during development, choosing everything from the pack's theme to its name and icon. The pack ships with 41 Create-a-Sim items covering clothing, hairstyles, and accessories, along with 24 Build Mode objects including four rocking chair variants.
Knitting skill
The Knitting skill is a 10-level skill available to children, teens, young adults, adults, and elders. Sims can pick it up by purchasing a Yarn Basket and knitting, reading skill books, or having another Sim teach them. Each level unlocks new projects: beanies and animal clothing at level 1, socks at level 2, mailbox cozies and plant holders at level 3, rugs at level 4, sweaters at level 5, pouffes at level 6, amigurumi animals at level 7, toddler and baby onesies at level 8, sweaters with scarves at level 9, and children's toys at level 10. At level 5, Sims can teach knitting to others, and at level 10 they can mentor. Knitted garments automatically appear in Create-a-Sim once crafted, though each color variant must be knitted individually to be available.
Plopsy marketplace
Plopsy is an in-game online crafting marketplace modeled after real-world craft-selling platforms. Sims can list knitted items, paintings, and woodworking projects for sale, with each listing costing five simoleons and carrying an expiration date. Listing on Plopsy is the only way to sell knitted objects. Items can also be donated to charity or given to other Sims as gifts. Sims in a good mood with a higher skill level produce higher-quality items that fetch better prices.
Rocking chairs and elder interactions
The four rocking chair variants double as functional furniture where Sims can knit, nap, or read. Elder Sims gain a Reminiscence interaction that lets them reflect on their past while sitting in a rocking chair, adding a small storytelling layer for older households.
