What the pack includes
Movie Hangout Stuff is a stuff pack for The Sims 4 that released on January 12, 2016 for PC and Mac. A console version for PlayStation and Xbox followed on February 19, 2019. The pack adds a movie night theme to residential life with a projector screen that works indoors or outdoors, a popcorn machine with multiple flavors, bohemian-themed furniture and décor, and casual fashion items. It requires The Sims 4 base game to play.
Projector screen and movies
The centerpiece of the pack is the projector screen, available as both an indoor wall-mounted version and a freestanding outdoor model. Both screens let your Sims watch 10 different in-game films, making them a more event-like alternative to the standard television. You can set up a backyard screening under the stars or build a cozy indoor lounge for movie nights with other Sims. Each screen is a large object that takes up six tiles.
Popcorn machine
The popcorn machine makes a return to The Sims series, letting Sims pop and serve the classic cinema snack at home. Topping choices include butter, cheddar, and sugary varieties. It works as a social object for gatherings and parties too, giving Sims something to share while they watch a film together.
Fashion and furnishings
The pack adds 27 Create a Sim items in a boho-chic style, including casual outfits and relaxed hairstyles suited for a night in. Build mode receives 34 new objects spanning colorful décor, furniture, and decorative lighting to set the right mood for a screening room or laid-back hangout area. Three styled rooms are also included to help you put together a themed movie space quickly.
