Fame and reputation
Get Famous introduces a five-tier fame system that tracks your Sim's rise from obscurity to stardom. The ranks are Notable Newcomer, Rising Star, B-Lister, Proper Celebrity, and Global Superstar. Each tier awards fame perks and can trigger fame quirks that shape how your Sim behaves in public. Reaching B-Lister status brings paparazzi into your Sim's daily life and opens up celebrity disguises to avoid unwanted attention.
Alongside fame, every Sim now carries a reputation that reflects their public image. Actions throughout the day push reputation toward good or bad, and the result changes how other Sims react. A Sim with a pristine reputation gets cheers and positive attention, while one with an awful reputation draws boos and hostility from bystanders.
Acting career and skills
The pack's main career path is Acting, an active career where your Sim joins a talent agency, auditions for roles, and travels to a studio lot to perform gigs. Work days involve getting costumes fitted, having hair styled, practicing lines, and talking with the director. Roles progress from commercials and TV spots to blockbuster films as your Sim climbs the fame ladder.
Two new skills support the career. Acting is the primary skill, practiced with microphones and mirrors or by reading skill books. Media Production is a minor skill capped at level 5 that uses a Music Station, Video Station, or Drone to create content and earn extra income. Children and teens can join Drama Club, an afterschool activity that meets daily from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM and introduces a performance every Friday once the club reaches level 3.
Del Sol Valley
The pack ships with Del Sol Valley, a world modeled on Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills. It contains three neighborhoods. Mirage Park offers affordable starter homes for Sims beginning their climb. The Pinnacles sits on the hilltops with the most expensive estates in the world, reserved for Sims who have already made it big. Starlight Boulevard is the nightlife district, home to an exclusive club that only the most famous Sims can enter. A hidden studio lot, Plumbob Pictures, serves as the workplace for the acting career.
Create a Sim and build mode
Get Famous adds 117 Create a Sim items including fashion, hairstyles, and accessories styled around celebrity culture. Build mode gains 274 objects, with gold-plated furniture and luxury mansion décor that let you outfit a home fit for a Global Superstar. The pack requires The Sims 4 base game and all game updates to play.
