Fairies and fairy paths
Enchanted by Nature brings fairies back to The Sims as a playable life state. Fairies absorb emotions from other Sims or bottled Emotion Potions to survive, and risk Emotional Starvation if their needs go unmet. In Create a Sim, fairies get their own wings, glowing tattoos, pointed ears, and unique skin tones.
Each fairy follows one of two paths through the Fairy Stories aspiration. Harmonious fairies are helpers who nurture plants, heal other Sims, and promote balance. Discordant fairies lean into mischief, stirring up chaos and making life harder for the Sims around them. Fairy Dust also lets non-fairy Sims get in on the magic, enchanting plants and bringing Gnomes to life.
Skills and the ailment system
Two new skills shape the pack's gameplay. The Natural Living skill lets Sims meet their basic needs outdoors by eating foraged food, sleeping under the stars, and bathing in nature instead of relying on furniture and plumbing. The Apothecary skill opens up crafting at the Apothecary Table, where Sims can brew cures for eight ailments and mix 14 additional recipes with various effects.
A balance system ties into both skills. Prolonged negative emotions push Sims into an Imbalanced state, slowing skill gains and need satisfaction. Left unchecked, ailments like Greenie Meanie, Emotional Void, Simoleon Fever, and Sonic Sinuses can take hold. Sims who pursue the Naturopath profession can make a career out of curing others. For more on how plant care works across all packs, see the Sims 4 gardening guide.
Innisgreen
The pack's new world, Innisgreen, draws on Irish and Celtic architectural inspiration and splits into three neighborhoods. Coast of Adhmor is a peaceful seaside village associated with Gnomes. Sprucederry Grove mixes shops and ivy-covered homes where nature meets civilization. Everdew is an enchanted forest where Sims can encounter Mother Nature or Spruce Almighty for special tasks and interactions.
Luck, aspirations, and cross-pack features
A luck system influences career, romance, cooking, and foraging outcomes. Sims experience good, ordinary, or bad luck, and luck charms can be found, purchased, or crafted to shift fortune. The pack adds two aspirations: Nature Nomad for Sims who want to live off the land, and Elixir Enthusiast for potion crafters.
Players with other expansion packs get additional fairy interactions. Fairies can nurture animals from Horse Ranch, Cottage Living, and Cats and Dogs, soothe Werewolves, remove vampirism, and assist Mermaids and PlantSims from Island Living.
