What's in the kit
Comfy Gamer Kit adds 30 Build/Buy objects designed to turn a spare room into a warm, personalized gaming setup. The centerpiece is a large desk (the SkrivBord), paired with a dual-monitor computer, a separate PC tower, a gaming chair, a microphone, a keyboard, headphones, and a controller. Around those functional pieces are shelves, cubed cubbies, decorative plants, a boba cup, a pencil cup, an alarm clock, plushies, neon signs, posters, rugs, and stacks of pillows. There are no Create-a-Sim items in this kit.
The collection was designed in collaboration with Sims content creator lilsimsie. It leans into a cozy, lived-in aesthetic rather than a hardcore gaming look, with cohesive color schemes and neutral swatch options that were uncommon in earlier kits.
Dynamic lighting and interactive objects
Several objects feature animated LED lighting that shifts and flows while the game is unpaused. The keyboard, PC tower, game controller, and headphones all have LEDs that move through colors in Live Mode. The alarm clock also has its own unique animations.
A camera object supports the in-game photography system, and every decorative item in the kit is Heirloom eligible for players who own the Life and Death expansion pack.
Sims franchise references
The kit is packed with nods to the history of The Sims. Decorative items include a cowplant-themed novelty piece, a grilled cheese mini-library, vintage game cases, and Sims franchise art prints. Posters and signs written in Simlish, pegboards for stickers and photos, and other shelf clutter round out the collection with callbacks fans will recognize.
Comfy Gamer Kit was released on January 16, 2025, and requires only The Sims 4 base game.
