What the kit includes
Blooming Rooms Kit is a Build/Buy kit for The Sims 4 that adds 24 plant and plant-like objects along with one styled room. Released on November 9, 2021, the kit focuses entirely on indoor botanical decor with no new gameplay, skills, or lot types. It was developed by Maxis and requires The Sims 4 base game.
The official pitch is straightforward: bring the outdoors inside with lush greenery that breathes new life into any space.
Plants, planters, and foliage furniture
The collection covers a wide range of houseplant styles. Potted plants include a desert rose, a ZZ plant, a jade plant, a sunny citrus plant, a therapeutic ficus, a triostar stromanthe, and a dieffenbachia, many available in multiple color swatches. Hanging options like the green goddess pothos come in eight colorways, and the ferntastic fern offers six variations with different pots and leaf colors. Nasturtium vases come shaped as animal figures including a dog, pig, and hedgehog across 12 color combinations, and a propagation station features avocado seeds growing in glass water bottles.
Beyond standalone plants, the kit integrates greenery into functional furniture. Shelving, tables, and light fixtures all feature living foliage as part of their design, giving rooms a lush, overgrown greenhouse feel.
Walls without wall art
One of the kit's defining touches is that vegetation can replace traditional wall decor. Hanging vines and leafy arrangements serve as alternatives to curtains and wall art, letting you dress up walls with greenery instead of framed prints or fabric. Combined with The Sims 4 build mode tools, these pieces can help create a cohesive indoor garden or plant-parent aesthetic.
The included styled room shows how the objects work together and can be placed on any existing lot as a starting point. If your Sims also want to get their hands dirty outdoors, the gardening guide covers plant care, grafting, and more across multiple expansions.
