What the kit includes

Basement Treasures Kit adds 26 Build/Buy items and one styled room to The Sims 4. The collection focuses on hand-me-down furniture, forgotten heirlooms, and sentimental clutter that looks like it has been sitting in a basement for years. Most items come with 4 to 8 swatches, and many offer both a newer finish and a scratched-up or damaged variant so you can control how worn everything looks.

Furniture and decor

The kit covers seating, lighting, surfaces, wall treatments, and decorative objects. Droopy couches in outdated patterns sit alongside cracked faux-leather recliners and throw blankets. Lamps have lopsided shades and faded colors, including a mod-style option. Surfaces include stacked chairs, broken TV bases, and old radio cabinets repurposed as tables. A wood-paneled tube TV with antennas and a large ornate mirror with optional cracked glass round out the bigger pieces.

For walls, the kit includes faded distressed wallpaper in multiple colors and two zero-cost wall decals: an exposed-brick effect and a permanent stain overlay. Floor decals let you make any in-game floor look damaged without replacing the flooring itself.

Smaller clutter items include framed family photographs, a corded phone off the hook, dulled trophies, a crate of vinyl records, forgotten board games, and plain cardboard boxes. A disassembled heart bed leaning against the wall nods to the classic Vibromatic Love Bed.

Building with Basement Treasures

The kit fills a gap in the base game catalog by providing distressed, lived-in objects that were previously hard to replicate without custom content. Pairing these items with the Industrial Loft Kit can help create a convincing dank basement atmosphere, and the worn furniture works well alongside the Growing Together expansion to tell generational family stories through a Sim household's home.
