What Backyard Stuff includes
Backyard Stuff is the eighth stuff pack for The Sims 4, released on July 19, 2016. It focuses on outdoor living with new interactive objects, decorative items, and casual clothing for your Sims' backyard. The pack falls under the Architecture and Décor category and adds around 25 Create a Sim items alongside 40 build and buy mode objects.
Water slides
The headline addition is the lawn water slide, which returns to the series after appearing in The Sims 3: Generations. Two variations are available in buy mode, including one shaped like the mouth of an inflated shark. Sims of all ages can use them, with interactions including Slide, Slide With, Trick Slide, Trick Slide With, and Watch Sliders. There is also an Add Soap option that increases the Mischief skill for adult Sims and covers anyone who slides in foam.
Bird feeders, wind chimes, and drinks
Bird feeders let your Sims pour bird seed to attract three types of birds: blue birds, cardinals, and finches. There is a small chance Sims will be attacked by birds when filling the feeder, which gives them a four-hour Angry moodlet. Wind chimes return to The Sims 4 with six purchasable styles. The pack also includes a drink tray with three new beverages: Lemonade, Citrus Swig, and Iced Tea, which can be placed on any surface.
Outdoor décor and clothing
Backyard Stuff adds colorful patio furniture, decorative lighting, and potted plants to brighten up outdoor spaces. On the Create a Sim side, new relaxed hairstyles and casual clothing let you dress Sims for laid-back backyard settings. The pack requires The Sims 4 base game to play.
