Kitchen & Bath Interior Design Stuff is the seventh stuff pack for The Sims 2, released on April 15, 2008 in North America and April 18, 2008 in Europe. Developed by EA Redwood Shores, the pack focuses entirely on two rooms that tend to get the most attention from builders: kitchens and bathrooms.
Everything in the pack is organized around two design themes, Romantic and Stylish, each with a matching premade house that shows off the new items in context.
Romantic theme
The Romantic style goes for warm, traditional spaces. Kitchens get wood-carved counters, ceiling-mounted hanging pot racks, and wallpapers with a classic feel. On the bathroom side, claw-foot bathtubs and soft lighting fixtures give the room a more old-fashioned look.
Stylish theme
Stylish goes modern. Granite countertops, sleek appliances, and clean lines define the kitchen. Bathrooms get sectional mirrors, quad-quadrant ceiling lights, and countertop basin sinks with a contemporary finish.
What's in the catalog
Over 60 new items spread across several categories:
- Kitchen appliances: stoves, refrigerators, toaster ovens, microwaves, coffeemakers, and dishwashers
- Counters, cupboards, and wooden shelving in both Romantic and Stylish variants
- Bathroom fixtures including bathtubs, glass showers, and sinks
- Mirrors and lighting designed to match each theme
- New wall coverings and floor patterns for kitchens and bathrooms
- Clothing additions like bathrobes for men and women, kitchen aprons, cashmere sweaters, and underwear
- Cosmetics and face mask accessories
Premade lots
Two furnished houses ship with the pack, one per theme. The Romantic Residence and Stylish Setup lots are ready to play and useful as references when decorating your own builds with the new catalog items.
Where to get it
Kitchen & Bath Interior Design Stuff originally shipped as a physical PC disc. As of January 2025, it is included in The Sims 2 Legacy Collection, available on Steam, the EA App, and the Epic Games Store for $29.99 alongside the base game, all eight expansion packs, and eight other stuff packs. The only Sims 2 stuff pack missing from the Legacy Collection is IKEA Home Stuff, which was dropped due to expired licensing.
