Released on November 7, 2006, Happy Holiday Stuff is a stuff pack for The Sims 2 that fills your Sims' homes with seasonal decorations, festive outfits, and holiday gameplay. The pack contains 60 items in total and covers multiple winter and year-end celebrations.
Happy Holiday Stuff is actually a reissue of the 2005 Holiday Party Pack, which was only available through EA's online store in the United States and as a retail release in the Asia Pacific region. This 2006 version added 20 new items on top of the original 40 and was sold at major retail outlets worldwide. Players who already owned the Holiday Party Pack could pick up the Happy Holiday Mini Pack, which contained just the new additions.
What's in the pack
The 60 items span decorations, furniture, build mode objects, and clothing. Holiday-themed decorations include Christmas trees, mistletoe, stockings, snowmen, wreaths, and winter paintings. Outside, Sims can set up Christmas lights, frosted windows, and reindeer lawn ornaments.
Some of the standout decorative pieces pull from traditions around the world: a European candle arch, a German holiday gnome statuette, and a large Christmas tree inspired by the famous tree in Rio de Janeiro. The pack also includes items tied to Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and Chinese New Year, with a Cheongsam outfit for celebrating the Chinese Fall Festival alongside Santa and Mrs. Claus costumes and holiday pajamas.
Santa Claus and the New Year's Bash
Two gameplay additions set this pack apart from a standard item collection. If your Sim places a Christmas tree in their home and leaves out Santa Cookies before bed, a Santa Claus NPC will visit during the night and leave a present under the tree. It is a small touch, but it turned into one of the more memorable features from The Sims 2 stuff packs.
The other addition is the New Year's Bash, a new party type. During the party, Father Time shows up, and at midnight he transforms into Toddler New Year. Both NPCs are unique to this pack.

Happy Holiday Stuff was originally a PC-only retail release from Electronic Arts and Maxis. As of January 2025, the pack is included in The Sims 2 Legacy Collection, EA's digital re-release for the franchise's 25th anniversary. The Legacy Collection is available on the EA App, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, and bundles all The Sims 2 expansion and stuff packs together.
