Glamour Life Stuff brought luxury living to The Sims 2 when it launched on August 31, 2006. With 60 new items covering upscale furniture, formal fashion, and decorative art, this stuff pack was built around giving Sims a taste of the high life.
What's in the pack
The items split across three main categories: home furnishings, clothing, and decorative objects.
For furniture, the pack added sectional sofas, elegant bookshelves, antique chairs, and unique lamps across bedroom, living room, and dining room styles. A super-modern stereo system rounded out the electronics for Sims who wanted their parties to sound as good as they looked.
Fashion brought evening gowns, suits, tailcoats, dinner jackets, and fur coats. Whether your Sims were throwing a formal dinner party or just wanted to look expensive on an ordinary Tuesday, there was something in the catalog.
Decorative objects included pop-art paintings, Egyptian bas-reliefs, and busts spanning classical to modern art styles. New wallpapers helped tie the upgraded rooms together.
Release history
Glamour Life Stuff was announced on July 13, 2006 and released on August 31 of the same year for PC. Developed by EA Redwood Shores and published by Electronic Arts, it was one of the earlier stuff packs in The Sims 2's lineup. A Mac version followed through Aspyr Media.
The pack is part of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, which EA distributed for free through Origin in 2014 and later brought to the EA app.
