On April 7, 2011, SimGoodie published an interview with Ryan Vaughan about The Sims 3 Generations, sourced through EA Norway. The interview touched on boarding schools, bachelor parties (utdrikningslag), memories, pranks, and how the expansion compared to The Sims 2 University. Tags on the post reference imaginary friends, bunk beds, and traps, suggesting the full interview (truncated in the archive) covered a wide range of new features. The same day, SimGoodie opened a reader Q&A addressed to Generations producer Shannon Copur. The site invited readers to submit English-language questions in the comments by Monday, April 11, stating that they would "pick the most interesting" questions to forward to the producer. By the time the archive was captured, the post was marked "!STENGT!" (closed), and three readers had submitted comments.
Store updates and TheSims3.com badges
On April 9, 2011, a short post noted new sharing-related badges on the Merker (badges) page at TheSims3.com, awarded for sharing a certain number of memories. The shared memories system would later be formalized in patch 1.22, released alongside Generations.
Two days earlier, on April 7, SimGoodie flagged new sets available in The Sims 3 Store for that month, though the archive does not preserve which specific bundles were featured.
Mac overheating and crashes
The most recent post in the snapshot, dated April 10, 2011, addressed a recurring problem: Macs shutting down or force-quitting The Sims 3 due to overheating. The site explained that macOS would terminate the process generating the most heat, which in this case was the game itself, and promised a walkthrough for the fix. What the sidebar tells us
The site's sidebar listed the Generations release date as "2/06.11," meaning June 2, 2011 for PC and Mac. It also showed 96 registered members and a reader poll asking whether people enjoyed "Sims Journal," a recurring feature. The archive index for April 2011 logged 15 posts total for the month, a pace that had slowed from 57 posts in September 2010 and 46 in October 2010.
