The Sims Life Stories is the first game in the Stories product line. The Stories games are standalone, so they can be played without The Sims 2 installed.
Stories and play modes
The game lets you guide Sims through two complete stories. The main story follows Riley as she returns home to start a new life with new friends, new experiences, and unexpected surprises. The bonus story focuses on Vincent, a love-struck high-tech guru whose romantic life has not gone his way.
You can also play an open classic mode where you create your own Sims, build their dream home, fulfill their wants or destroy their hopes, and tell their story through life's major moments.
Built for laptops
The game was designed to work both at home and on the go. It can run in a window, includes simpler shortcuts, and can pause automatically when you open or close a laptop. The old SimGoodie page also highlighted that you could keep in touch with friends through MSN and email while playing.
