A countryside town on the Simomon River
Riverview sits along the banks of the Simomon River, a small town where Sims have settled to escape the noise of city life. The river crosses and divides the town into three parts, with Long Island in the middle serving as the town center. The surrounding land is fertile and green, dotted with farms, pastures, and wooded hills. Compared to Sunset Valley, Riverview has a more rural and laid-back feel, with a mix of modest homesteads and wealthier estates spread across the countryside.
Lots and districts
The world contains 95 lots spread across several districts, including Central Island, Hillside, Riverside, and Farmside. Lot sizes range from 20x30 to 64x64, and 22 of the residential lots are empty and ready for new builds. Pre-built homes range from small starter houses to large multi-bedroom estates. Community lots cover the essentials and then some, with a police department, city hall, stadium, hospital, military base, schools, restaurant, spa, museum, and aquarium all present in the world.
Pre-made households and returning Sims
Riverview comes with 50 playable Sims spread across multiple households. Several families have connections to earlier entries in the series. The Newbie family appears with Robert Sr, Mags, and a young Bob, living a quiet riverside life built around fishing. Don Lothario also shows up in Riverview after a mysterious teleporter incident, starting fresh in an old abandoned granary with his romantic reputation still intact.
How to get Riverview
Riverview was the first world released on The Sims 3 Store. It was offered as a free download for players who registered their copy of the base game, making it one of the earliest pieces of downloadable content for The Sims 3.
