What the pack includes

Outdoor Living Stuff is the third stuff pack released for The Sims 3. It was announced by Electronic Arts on 7 December 2010 and released on 1 February 2011 for PC and Mac. The pack focuses on giving Sims new ways to enjoy outdoor spaces, from backyard cooking setups to evening gatherings around a fire pit.

Items in the pack are divided into two visual styles. Garden on the Terrace leans toward elegant wrought-iron pieces, while Sunset on the Veranda goes for a warmer, more rustic look. Both styles cover seating, dining, and decorative objects so that outdoor areas can follow a consistent theme.

Outdoor entertaining and objects

The headline additions are five hot tubs, ranging from $6,500 to $12,000 in-game, each offering fun and stress relief for Sims. Alongside them the pack includes outdoor kitchen equipment such as the Original Griller Entertainment Series grill and the MaxBTU Cooktop, plus counters for food service and bar seating for guests.

For ambience, there are two fireplace options designed for outdoor placement, string lights, decorative lanterns, and a telescope for stargazing. A rock-shaped stereo lets Sims play music outdoors, and a parasol provides shade. Decorative plants, water features, and a new fence and gate set (Fence of Farmington) round out the build and buy options.

Clothing and hairstyles

The pack adds a selection of outfits, tops, bottoms, and shoes for adult female and male Sims, along with a couple of new hairstyles. Children's clothing was not included in this stuff pack.
