What the pack adds
The Sims 3: 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff is the eighth stuff pack released for The Sims 3. It arrived on January 22, 2013 in North America and January 24, 2013 in Europe. The pack focuses on retro fashion and home decor from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, giving players new Create-a-Sim options and a collection of decade-themed objects for their Sims' homes.
Clothing and hairstyles
Create-a-Sim gets a full set of decade-spanning outfits. The 70s selection includes wide-collared suits and bell-bottom pants for a disco look. The 80s brings shoulder pads and bangle earrings for a glam aesthetic. The 90s rounds things out with rumpled flannel shirts and grunge-inspired pieces. New hairstyles cover everything from feathered 70s cuts to poofed 80s teases to lank 90s styles, and new facial hair options are included as well.
Furniture and entertainment
The object catalog covers all three decades with retro furniture and interactive items. Entertainment options include the Neonis Foosball Table, a Blips Vs. Pixel arcade game, a dance floor with disco ball, and the Boomin' Box boombox. Furniture ranges from sectional sofas and loungers to the Bateman Swivel Chair, retro dining sets, and the HoverFlame Floating Fireplace. Decorative items include vintage posters, lava lamp-style lighting fixtures, and the Lightsplosion disco light. The Stereophonic Super Cabinet doubles as a radio.
Radio stations
The pack adds three radio stations that were originally featured in the first game in the series, The Sims. These stations bring back classic music alongside the retro decor and fashion.
