Build anything, any shape

Paralives centers its building experience on freedom from the grid. Walls can be curved, objects resized to any scale, and floors split across levels within the same structure. Stairs follow custom shapes, and every surface accepts full color and texture customization. The toolset also includes the Paramaker, a character creator with extensive appearance and clothing options and no gender restrictions on any choice. Steam Workshop support means player-made creations can be shared and downloaded directly in-game.

An open world to live in

Once your Paras and their home are ready, the game's live mode opens up an explorable town. You can steer your Paras toward careers, relationships, family life, or community involvement. Getting around happens on foot, by bike, or by car, with destinations including parks, restaurants, beaches, shops, and mountain areas. The world loads without screen transitions, keeping everything connected.

Community-funded, free updates only

Paralives was funded through Patreon before reaching Early Access on Steam on May 25, 2026, for Windows and macOS. Developer Paralives Studio has pledged that all future content updates will be free, with no paid DLC. The game launched to 78,000 concurrent players and sold 250,000 copies in its first eight hours. Five weeks in, it holds a 91% positive rating across more than 17,000 reviews, and active patching has already delivered improvements like smaller save files, Steam Cloud sync, and in-game appearance editing.
